Time stood still..!

“Time stood Still”..!, Canterbury, NZ

This was a funny day as it turned out… coming across this old farm stable , there was no houses anywhere around this to ask permission to enter and photograph, so scouting up the road and then back down past, we called into three separate houses but alas no one home anywhere..!

We returned to the gate, when away over two large paddocks away noticed a tractor with a large roller driving ever decreasing circles as it rolled the ground ready for summer hay harvest..

It took me fifteen minute to walk the distance, and as I walked into the paddock I noticed the driver had seen me but kept going for another round, to allow time for me to walk up to where the next round was.. he stopped and opened the door in a surprised look at this stranger, as I introduced myself and then asked if he knew whos property the old stables belonged to..

Why do you want to know this.?  I said we were photographers.. his reply ….why on earth would you want to photograph that.. anyway with his cagey talk he eventually said it was his and ok take a photo, but as he closed the door he said dont let your camera make any clicking noise… I said why was that,, his reply… any loud noise would probably be enough to cause the ruin to fall down,….. lol

I guess he must have thought.. this bugger is just wasting my time… not our usual reception when asking permission but thats ok..!
