Camp before the Storm.., Lake Camp, Ashburton Gorge, NZ

Mandy and I had enjoyed a couple of days camping in this area, taking a number of lovely images of various lakes and unspoiled wide open country scenes..

Then, the wind stopped to dead calm, as we watched the first signs of an incoming cold southery weather front creep over the hills in front of us… what a perfect time to have the camera on it tripod to capture the moment, as within fifteen minutes, the southerly wind blast hit us like a freight train, followed by heavy cold rain…
