Autumn Lake Guyon

Lake Guyon, St James Conservation Park,

Waking, this beautiful frosty mountain morning to a scene that “mother nature” had hand painted… surreal indeed..!

Mandy and I had ridden our horses into this lake Guyon hut area the day before for a couple days trekking , but more importantly this morning was this photo opportunity .. picture postcard quality scenes..

We spent a good couple of hours capturing various aspects of this area while the weather remained calm, as often this area affected with windy conditions , creating a less than ideal picture ambiance..

Surrounding the hut is this large grassy area, that our horses enjoyed breakfast, dinner and tea (so to speak ), however just as I ventured out of the hut, a group of mountain bikers came thru, which saw our three horses galloping away ahead of them up to the far end around a kilometre away, but alas as long as these fellows closed the narrow gate upon there exit and not let the horses thru, we hopefully still had transport to get around…!
