No one home..!

“No one Home”…! Canterbury, NZ

We understand this once beautiful two storied farm residence was lived in by one member of the family who shared the farm with other members of that family, then one day he went to town and never came back to live there again…this being second hand knowledge but presumable he had an interest who lived in town..!

For years the house stood empty of human occupation, and the day we photographed we had permission to have a look inside…. wow… the house had everything still there as if someone was living in it, hats and coats still on the wall rack, tinned food in the cupboards, clothes in the wardrobe, beds made up, all just left all those years ago..

Not to long after we photographed, the house was demolished as it became riddled with borer in the woodwork, and far beyond restoration…

It was a day that I will always remember visiting this gem..!
