Afternoon Delight, Lake Heron, Ashburton Gorge, NZ

Mandy and I had just arrived up here to the lake for a weekend photo shoot in the area, to discover this brilliant early evening golden hue right before our eyes…!.

Knowing we only had a few minutes before the sun descended behind the hill taking the colours of the day with it, we scrambled to get the camera and tripod set up, to captured this five shot image, which later in the evening we stitched together ..

I said to Mandy “that was close” , another five minutes later arriving and the moment would be gone.!
